The Little Memories That Keep Me Going

These are the little reminders of having seen them in close proximity during the twelve months at sea keep me going whenever life throw something at me despite some of the unhappy moments I had.
When my friends and family were away from me, having to do my own laundry, clean up my own cabin and toilet, being in total darkness all alone in the middle of the ocean, living with strangers and all man etc which made me independent, mentally stronger and matured in the shortest possible time that I hardly even cry now.

The memory of passing under that semi circle rainbow on that "steel" when I was in a bad mood never fails to light me up even until today.

Having the sun greet you every morning and evening in such close proximity :)

Seagulls
I can still remember the times when I was all alone on deck and the seagulls were flying all above me.

Whales
I have only seen them on news and television until I was 17 years old.
