Mom will always put two mandarin oranges into each Chinese New Year themed paper bags for bro and I to "bai nian" with grandparents and place it at the same spot before leaving home.It is always the same routine every year whereby all the aunties, uncles and cousins from mom's side of the family will all go to grandmother's place to gather.
Both of us will always call out to each other "hey don forget the oranges" every single year before we leave the house.
